![]() "Wo Long is not an easy game by any means but we’re working to give players as much freedom and agency to play it as they want, overcome obstacles in their own way. ![]() "It’s really important to keep the challenge the same and give players different ways to overcome it," Yamagiwa said. Yamagiwa explained that Team Ninja thinks it's "good" to have a set difficulty for the game, so when you've beaten a boss or difficult enemy, you can chat with your friends to compare strategies, but that all hangs on giving players enough choice to tackle situations in multiple ways. Well, the difficulty will be the same, but how you choose to tackle each obstacle can vary wildly from player to player by the sounds of it. As is a staple in the masocore and Soulslike genres, Wo Long is designed to be difficult, and as such, Team Ninja won't allow you to change the difficulty settings so everybody has the same experience, more or less. Wo Long: Fallen Dynastys first boss, Zhang Liang, is a tricky customer, especially if youve never played Sekiro, and youre not particularly used to this games parry-centric game style. Featuring Chinese martial arts, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty puts us in the shoes of a militia soldier fighting for survival in the Three Kingdoms, except this is a darker version of the tale, with demonic entities and supernatural elements aimed at testing your skills with each encounter.
